Ginkgo Biloba Plants for 1 Year Old

✅ Three Ginkgo Biloba plants, each one year old, will be delivered in a single container. These Maidenhair Trees stand approximately 4-6 inches tall and are in the seedling stage. They thrive within USDA Hardiness Zones 3-8.

✅ The container includes both male and female trees, their distribution naturally determined by pollination. At this stage, the seedlings are split randomly by nature into 50% males and 50% females. It is impossible to determine their sexes until they mature and begin fruiting (females) or pollinating (males). Alternatively, certainty can be achieved by grafting them with scion cuttings of known sex at around 2-3 years old, ensuring a 100% accurate determination of each plant’s sex.

✅ Using the binomial distribution, for these seedlings assuming a 50% probability for each sex: - Probability of exactly 5 male and 5 female plants out of 10: 0.246094 (approximately 25%) - Probability of obtaining at least one male and one female out of 10 plants: 0.998048 (almost 100%) To ensure a 75% chance of obtaining at least one of each sex, a minimum purchase of 3 plants is recommended (probability 0.765625).

✅ During summer, the plants will be shipped with soil and container, either in a mailing tube or box. These are rooted cuttings, not seedlings. In contrast, during their dormancy from October to April, they will be shipped bare-root with roots wrapped in moist media, then returned to containers with soil during the summer growth period.
